The ‘information war’ is hotting up. On the heels of yesterday’s 30-minute detailed presentation of Russia’s 10 awkward questions for Ukraine (and the US), CNN reports that the US government has released a satellite trajectory map of what it says was the flight’s path and the site from which the missile was shot. Of course, the epicenter of the MH17 launch is Snizhne, in pro-Russian separatist-held territory.
Rebel leader Alexander Borodai responded, “we don’t have the technical ability to destroy this plane. Ukrainians are not interested in the truth.””

“Speaking on Monday at the White House, Obama expressed frustration at pro-Russian separatists for hampering an international investigation at the crash site to determine who was responsible for shooting down the plane. He said Russian President Vladimir Putin had a “direct responsibility” to use his influence with the rebels to stop hindering the probe.
“Separatists are removing evidence from the crash site,” Obama said. “Which begs the question: What exactly are they trying to hide? The burden now is on Russia to insist that the separatists stop tampering with the evidence.”
Obama said he appreciated Putin’s comments supporting a full investigation, but he said it was now on Putin to act.
“President Putin has a direct responsibility to compel them to cooperate with the investigation,” Obama said. “The world deserves to know exactly what happened.”
If Putin doesn’t comply and Russia continues to back the pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, Obama promised additional “costs.”
The U.S. and Europe have pointed the finger of blame for the crash at the hands of the pro-Russian separatists, while suggesting Russia has been complicit in the plane’s downing by supporting the separatists with training and with arms.”

UKRAINE’S security service claims it has “compelling evidence’’ Russian-backed rebels are behind the MH17 disaster which killed 298 people, including 37 Australian citizens and permanent residents.
The Prime Minister’s office has confirmed an additional resident from Western Australia was on MH17, taking the death toll to 37 residents and citizens.
Ukraine’s emergency services claim separatist rebels have taken away all the 196 bodies that workers recovered from the Malaysian Airlines plane crash site to an unknown location.
The Associated Press is reporting that the rebels put bagged bodies onto trucks at the crash site before driving them away on Saturday.
Dozens of bodies from the crash site were then loaded onto refrigerated rail carriages.”

At a press conference in Kiev, the Ukrainian government announced that it had definitive proof that Russia shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 with surface-to-air missiles. From the Times:
At a news conference in Kiev, Vitaly Nayda, the head of counterintelligence for the Ukrainian State Security Service, displayed photographs that he said showed three of the Buk-M1 missile systems on the road to the Russian border. Two of the devices, which are missile launchers mounted on an armored vehicle, crossed the border into Russia at about 2 a.m. Friday, or less than 10 hours after the jet, Flight 17, was blown apart in midair, he said. The third weapon crossed at about 4 a.m.
The investigation into the crash seems to be increasingly hindered by the presence of pro-Russian separatists who have reportedly been moving pieces of evidence around, including bodies, pilfering the belongings of the departed, and obstructing the investigation.”

“El a relevat că comandantului regimentului 156 de rachete de apărare antiaeriană i s-a ordonat să implementeze divizioanele, să prelucreze stabilirea țintelor și să îndeplinească întregul algoritm al urmăririi și distrugerii țintelor condiționate cu o rachetă Buk-M1.
El a adăugat că nu a fost planificată o lansare reală a rachetei, cu toate că comandanții au primit cheile de deblocare și lansare a rachetelor.
